We believe, due to continued Growing World Population & Increasing Energy Consumption, especially in the developing world, NRGY Demand will continue to Grow from today until 2050.

At this point, we are all hopefully aware of the need to reduce and in some cases eliminate energy cycles whereby the bi-product contains harmful CO2 and / or NOx emissions.

We believe:
  • The overall pace of the energy transition will be over many decades, not over many years!
  • We will continue to see a moderate growth environment for natural gas but unless the extraction processes significantly decreases its carbon and N02 emissions, we see demand for oil leveling out from now until 2050!
  • To fund the energy transition, a substantial increase in yearly global investment of over 50% is needed to fund most sustainable development scenarios!
  • Companies will need to continue to increase their current $9 billion annual energy related research and development spending if we are to meet our ambitious climate change goals!
  • Annual investment into energy infrastructure will require trillions of dollars over the course of the energy transition!
Can the carbon and NOx intensity problem be addressed in the short term?

In the short term, we believe (and have begun investing in areas) we can focus on immediately to prioritize on the low hanging fruit our industry has to offer.

This includes supporting new renewables projects, working to develop new energy extraction processes, and working to reduce sources of C02 and NOx from existing energy infrastructures (wells, process facilities).

It doesn’t stop there though! Within each of our individual companies, we are continuously working on ways to reduce sources of CO2 and NOx emissions.

This includes developing automated technologies which improves drilling times and reduces the fuel demand inputs needed to extract energy.
